Meet the Team

Cat Rides NW is an organization based in Seattle run by a passionate group of cyclists dedicated to building community through group rides and cycling advocacy. Our mission is to make cycling accessible to all and enjoyable as a mode of transportation, social activity, and recreational activity.

Will

Will is the founder of Cat Rides NW. He was born and raised in Seattle, and has used cycling as a way to explore the best parts of the city. As a proud cat dad, it was an easy next step to combine his love of cats with his love of bikes. Will greatly enjoys planning unique cycling routes, creating fun ride themes, and helping all people (and their cats) feel confident on a bike.

Lizzy

Lizzy is the co-founder of Cat Rides NW and the sole pilot of the Cat Wagon™. She is a California transplant but has fully assimilated herself into PNW culture. For the past several years she has been living car-free! In her spare time she enjoys crocheting clothes for small animals and children, learning German, and reading romance novels. She spoils her cats at every opportunity and treats them as if they were her children.

Boots

Boots is a 14 year old tuxedo cat and an experienced cyclist. Boots was born on a farm in Minnesota, made his way to Seattle, and was adopted by Will eleven years ago. After some injuries made it so Boots could no longer free roam outside, he learned to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of a bike basket. Boots loves smelling the breezes on the bike and getting lots of treats and attention from CRNW members.

Toby

Toby is a 3 year old baby with single kitten syndrome and chronic case of FOMO. He started his life in glamour under a trailer in Burien. Toby's interests include being scared of smells and the bottom of the sink drain hole. On the bike you will often see only his rump, but beneath the fluffy cushion therein lies a warm lovable oaf. Toby comes out of his snail shell when we are stopped at roadside attractions on our rides.
